Pics With Santa - Mall @ Woodlands

The Familia hard at work making kids, and their families - happy. 

For the past decade Mom Glenda has been doing pics with Santa at this mall in the East of Pretoria. She complains because it's a lot of work but oh boy does she ever love it! 

For about 3 years over the covid period she declined though. Then the mall management started really nagging her to please, please, please do it again. Way too many people kept on asking them where is Glenda, it's simply not the same if she doesn't do it. 

I mean, there are families who have been bringing their kids for photos every single year since she started doing it, and they wanted her back! 

And so it came about that the Marais family started this endeavor up again in December 2023. In December 2024 it runs from Mom's birthday on the 13th right up to the evening of the 24th. 

Glenda doing what she does best - being Santa's helper, using all her charm to convince people to get photos taken and then organizing the shoot. Specifically entertaining the kids so that they too enjoy the occasion. 

Dad Henk runs the production line - helping customers decide on the perfect pics for them, and getting it printed. Also he is the technical director if anything goes awry. 

Dylan is the everywhere guy, ensuring everything runs smoothly on the ground and jumping in anywhere it is required. He is multi-talented and as such nothing is too much for him. Handling the camera, handling the customers, handling printing. He does it all. 

Kayla is the main photographer this year and the results are seen on the happy faces of customers when they collect their printed photos. 

Liam is the backup in case anything is needed as far as manpower goes, and handles customers for Mom's other business who need to stop at the house to collect the products they purchased. Also, he is training to be fit and ready for next rugby season and ensuring the X-box games don't gather dust...

Last but not least Santa. He came all the way from the North Pole to assist! How cool is he! Or maybe he came from Mountain View? It's confusing. All we know is, he is a helluva guy!
